Welcome to my worship seminar page! My seminar is called “Building A Worship Ministry: getting from HERE to THERE.” I believe that it is our role as worship leaders/teams to load our worshipers on the “worship bus” and take them from HERE to THERE.
So where is here? Here is the livingroom, the sanctuary, the chapel, the fireside, the classroom in which the people have gathered. Here is an earthly confine. Here is where our minds are full of worry and strife. Here is where our arthritic knees ache, our noses run, our children fidget and our bills pile up. Here is the battleground. You see, ultimately, worship is a Heavenly activity, a spiritual thing. Worship is what the elders, the angels, the entire Heavenly host and all the redeemed will do forever in the very presence of God Himself. Our earthly worship is but a foreshadowing of the worship to come when we get there. There is the presence of God. There is the Holy of Holies, the most intimate place on Earth in which to meet with God.
My seminar consists of four sessions that will help your worship team take your worshipers from here to there.
Session I: Worship: the wonderful, Heavenly, powerful expression of love In this session we discuss the who, what, why, when and how of worship.
Session II: Music is a language God gave us for worshiping Him In this session we talk about musical principles that help us grow in worship planning and leading.
Session III: Less is more: practical applications of simple principles In this session we discuss practical tips like voice/instrument lessons, being prepared for rehearsal, audio/visual tech jobs and more
Session IV: Putting it all together: working with the band In this session we play together as a band and learn to implement what we’ve learned
